HARCOURTS – WALK A MILE THEIR SHOES 2016
In September 2016, hundreds of Harcourts staff across Australia walked down a different path and joining forces with White Ribbon Australia to take a stand against violence.
Last year, nearly 800 Harcourts staff, family, friends and supporters across Australia “walked a mile” in women’s heels to show solidarity and bring attention to the national tragedy that is violence against women. Our 2015 event set a new White Ribbon record for a Community Fundraising Activity, and this year we hope to set a new milestone for this worthy charity.
This year’s “Walk a Mile in Their Shoes” was held across Australia on Friday 2nd September, with 100% of funds raised pledged towards White Ribbon’s “Breaking the Silence” programme in primary and secondary schools across Australia, aimed at creating generational change in attitudes toward violence.
100% of funds raised were donated to White Ribbon’s “Breaking the Silence” programme
